Job Description

The salary for this role is £45,000 – £55,000.

As a Finance Manager at LI, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, profit and loss reporting, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to decision-making and company strategy, reflecting the financial perspective in all engagements.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance or a related field, with proven strategic planning and financial analysis skills.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the staff and daily operations of the finance department
  • Monitor and analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support
  • Develop and implement financial controls and processes
  • Prepare monthly financial reports including budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls
  • Advise on long-term business and financial planning
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role
  • A strong understanding of business principles and practices
  • Superior attention to detail, brilliant organisational skills, and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Ability to strategise finance related deliverables and solve problems
  • Understanding of private and public sector funding regulations
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles, including activity-based costing
  • Working knowledge of all UK statutory legislation and regulations
  • Proficient experience of using finance software eg Xero, Pento
  • Experience of using MS Office Products and Power BI

Qualifications

  • CCAB Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or CIMA or similar is required.
