Job Description

Every day, we push beyond expectations to help millions of people save money, at a time when it’s never mattered more. Through MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExpert, Quidco and our B2B partnerships we supply products to more than 24 million unique monthly visitors, helping UK households to save billions of pounds a year. Can you tell this is something we’re exceptionally proud of!

Creative, collaborative, ambitious – it’s hard work. But what makes it worth it? Leaving work knowing we’ve made a difference to our customers, users, and to each other.

The Commercial Finance team plays a critical and valued role in our business. Our team partners closely with senior leaders and their teams ensuring clarity in financial planning and forecasting as well as providing timely and insightful reporting, analysis and recommendations. We help drive our commercial success and achieve the Group’s mission of ‘helping households save money’.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Planning and Performance this role will work closely and proactively with the broader finance team and the Executive and Senior Leadership Community.

The FP&A manager role is varied and challenging, responsible for forecasting and planning for the whole Group, which currently includes 5 diverse reporting segments (or ‘verticals’ – Insure, Money, Home Services, Cashback and Travel). The role is pivotal delivering easily digestible reporting, clear performance storytelling and actionable performance insight to finance and senior leadership. The role is plugged in to the heart of the Group’s strategic agenda, supporting M&A opportunities as well as strategic and operational planning. The role holder must be proactive and curious: actively horizon scanning for performance themes (market/internal), enabled through deep and collaborative relationships, and proactively developing analysis and insight to help the Group navigate and take decisions in an evolving market landscape. In a fast-moving business, this role is also key in identifying and driving finance process improvements through automation and AI.

The FP&A team includes the Head of FP&A, FP&A manager (this role) and the Opex team (comprising one Senior Business Partner and two analysts). The broader Commercial Finance team has circa 10 roles providing business partnering to Commercial, Marketing, Tech, Product and Data. The Transactional Finance team (largely based in Ewloe, North Wales) has about 16 people.
