Job Title: Finance Data Business Partner

Location: Frimley, Glascoed, Preston, or Glasgow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £65,000 + depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Serving as a strategic liaison between the business units and the Programme data teams
  • Providing organisational support to projects within Finance, ensuring the success of the projects, with an emphasis on major transformation programmes
  • Supporting initiatives to improve the accuracy of data throughout the enterprise, along with supporting the activities to improve the use of data to drive the business insight and decision making
  • Upholding data quality activities through key performance indicators across the organisation to support process improvements
  • Taking responsibility for the assessment of data sensitivity and classification of data owned and used by Finance, and supporting the ownership of the data by ensuring there is a clear RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed) matrix within the organisation
  • Making recommendations to address multi-faceted problems and to inform the strategic and operational decision making
  • Supplying guidance and assurance for the decommissioning and archive of data in compliance with the data policy

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Fully qualified accountant ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • Experience working within a finance function
  • Some exposure to working in a finance data environment, supporting decision making

Desirable:

  • DAMA qualified, CDMP
  • Prior experience with complex projects

The Financial Control & Systems team:

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work for a global employer in a brand-new role, with the chance to bring your ideas and expertise to the business and to help with building out the team. Sitting within our Head Office Finance Function and reporting to the Finance Systems Manager you will support the Finance Data requirements as the Finance Data owner as you work on some exciting and new projects. This position will offer you the chance to grow and develop you career further, with support from us in additional learning and qualifications. There will also be travel across the UK within the role as you visit other BAE Systems UK sites, providing you with the opportunity to build and grow your network, whilst interacting with a range of different functions and stakeholders.
