We are now looking for Product focused Business Analyst to join us fully remotely in the UK. As our Product BA, you’ll lead and manage the investigation, analysis, documentation and design/re-design of business activities and processes improvements, specifically improving effectiveness as part of the Product Business Capability Area.

This role will involve heavy interaction with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business issues, problems and requirements, and reporting status updates to senior leadership. You’ll make recommendations for business improvement, fully documenting these in the form of requirements and functional specifications, with project proposals being fully assessed for: feasibility, expected user, stakeholder, and organisational outcomes, as well as value for money.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions consistent with LI’s business strategy.
  • Demonstrate exceptional capabilities in data analysis and management, with ability to interpret complex data to drive insightful business decisions and strategies
  • Gather and analyse business requirements, facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews, and create functional specifications and process flow diagrams to support LI Product objectives.
  • Ensure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture.
  • Challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose.
  • Facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders in support of design, build and delivery to meet the user needs.
  • Lead and define business requirements, including discovery, analysis, documentation, process flows, use cases, test and training plans.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Define user journeys and manage requirements across a wide range of complex and competing stakeholders.
  • Manage and document requirements using relevant tools.
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication and build good working relationships with internal and external colleagues and suppliers, ensuring key internal and external stakeholders are kept fully informed and involved throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts including reporting status updates.
  • Translating business needs into detailed business and functional specifications.
  • The post holder may be required to undertake other related duties assigned by the line manager as appropriate.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject.
  • Great experience as a BA within a software delivery environment, ideally working with Product teams.
  • Excellent experience with data & systems analysis using Excel and either Power BI or Tableau
  • Ability to produce requirements definition and functional specifications based on as-is and to-be processes.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams: Engineering, Scrum, Program, DevOps etc
  • Strong Stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience in business process (modelling and tools).
  • Fantastic communication and organisation skills
  • Experience with modern technology stacks & markup languages
  • Experience with project management
  • Competency in Microsoft applications & experience using Engineering Tools (Azure DevOps)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing development environment.
  • Experience in the farming/agriculture sector would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
