Job Description

Who are we?

Ki is the biggest global insurance tech company you’ve never heard of, unless you’ve been looking to insure a satellite, wind farm or music festival recently.

Having written over $877m in gross written premium in 2023, we’ve achieved significant growth since our beginnings in 2021. Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333 year-old industry was working. There are hardly any industries left that are mainly paper based, but the specialty insurance market is one. Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers place risk in a fast and frictionless way. We’re continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities.

Purpose of the Role

As Learning, Development and Early Careers lead, you will hold overall responsibility our L&D and Early Careers Strategy to attract, retain and nurture talent across Ki. Collaborating closely with the Leadership Team and People Director, you will assistant in the delivery of the Group L&D and Early Careers strategy, designing, developing and implementing business wide training and development initiatives to support overall group and departmental business strategies. Most importantly, you will act as an SME, using your expertise on emerging trends and best practice to influence the wider business.

You will design and develop innovative and creative solutions to nurture, develop and mobilise talent across the organisation, driving a culture of learning continuous improvement. You will determine the Early Careers framework for Ki, with particular focus on future skills and identifying opportunities to further embed and support our Diversity and Inclusion and Early Careers objectives. Crucially, you will provide thought leadership for employee and organisation development activities.

You will have proven experience of working in a senior L&D or Early Careers role within a large and complex organisation, preferably across financial services or technology. You will be able to demonstrate expertise of the learning cycle, the build and development of an Early Careers framework and training interventions across a variety of topics (regulatory, soft-skills, management development). Most importantly, we are seeking someone who can offer strategic insight and creative solutions to help to grow and develop our L&D function.

Our culture

Inclusion & Diversity is at the heart of our business at Ki. We recognise that diversity in age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, thought and social background bring richness to our working environment. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, or who you love, we believe you should be you.

You’ll get a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package. This is kept under constant review to make sure it stays relevant. We understand the power of saying thank you and take time to acknowledge and reward extraordinary effort by teams or individuals.
