There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for a Credit Risk Controller to join our Finance team in Edinburgh.

About the role
As a Credit Risk Controller, your focus will be supporting pub operators within our managed house estate - Just Add Talent (JAT).

You’ll work closely with field-based teams, including Business Development Managers and Regional Operations Directors, to make sure our operators are compliant with the expected cash position and cash handling duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling all banking queries for our Just Add Talent (JAT) sites
  • Reconciling cash collections and banking activity
  • Arranging operator payments
  • Managing exit statement collections
  • Running credit control MI and reporting
  • Credit checking prospective operators for Capex deals

Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone with a finance or banking background who can hold confident and robust conversations with our customers. Making decisions that benefit both us and the outlets and working at pace will be key.

If you;

  • Are comfortable working with numbers and bank reconciliations
  • Have a good understanding of the Microsoft suite including Excel
  • Good systems experience with Zonal or similar Epos systems
  • Can build relationships with internal and external stakeholders through great communication skills
  • Have an eye for detail and can maintain accurate records
  • Experience with Business Central and MI Reporting & Power BI would be fantastic, though not essential

Then this could be the role for you!

This is a busy, interesting and varied role which is right at the heart of our business. As part of an experienced team, you will have lots of support and ongoing training, plus regular feedback in monthly 1-to-1s with your manager. Your ideas for process improvement are always welcome and there are opportunities for career development which is supported and encouraged.

Our Ways of Working
Heineken’s Global Purpose is to “brew the Joy of True Togetherness to inspire a better world” and to fulfil this we believe in working closely with each other and collaborating f2f when we can. To enable this, we ask colleagues to be in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays and one other day of colleague’s choice.

We embrace learning and growth, and there is plenty of scope to develop in this role. You’re also likely to bring experiences that are not listed above – these are welcome, but a customer-centric approach to the role is a must as our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

Our benefits and rewards

  • Annual bonus
  • Company-funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double-matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday (holiday trading available)
  • Retail discounts
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers (low and no alcohol options available)
  • Unique learning and development opportunities

…And much more! Check out our Why Join Us page if you’d like more information.

You’ll also get the opportunity to join our colleague networks, in which people from across the business connect to help champion diversity, equity and inclusion, ensuring we’re continuing to give people a voice.

The application
