Job Description
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented legal assistant/junior paralegal to join our vibrant and expanding team. In this position, you will provide essential support to our legal team and work closely with our communications and philanthropy teams as well. Experience with US litigation is a plus for this position, but it is not a pre-requisite. Only candidates based in Los Angeles will be considered. This is a hybrid working schedule and the successful candidate will be required to be in the office a minimum of two days a week.

Meet your Manager
In this role, you will be managed by Jay Rossiter, Managing Attorney at Client Earth USA Jay joined ClientEarth in 2024 and is based in Los Angeles.
Main Duties
- Independently conduct factual and legal research to gather case law, statutes, and other relevant information to support litigation and regulatory matters.
- Draft, format, and edit legal documents including briefs, motions, declarations, and evidentiary materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to court requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the legal team by scheduling meetings, managing litigation calendars, tracking deadlines, and maintaining organized case files.

Role requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree
- Experience drafting, formatting and editing a variety of legal documents
- Experience with Westlaw, PACER, and other-litigation-related platforms
- A strong interest in the intersection of climate change issues and the law
