Job Description

Join us, be part of more.

We’re so much more than an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that's energising a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn’t rely on fossil fuels, whilst living our powerful commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently - we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.

As a GBS Process Improvement Technical Analyst (Power Platform) , you'll support the delivery of process improvement, reporting and automation initiatives across Group Business Services (GBS) and the functions it supports.

Working closely with business stakeholders, you'll help identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance reporting and develop low-code solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. Combining technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement, you'll deliver practical solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen decision-making and support continuous improvement across the business.

This is a hands-on role with a focus on execution, innovation and driving value through automation and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, analysis and improvement of business processes, helping to deliver more efficient, scalable and effective ways of working.

  • Gather requirements, map processes and support the design and implementation of process improvement and automation solutions.

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and data visualisations that provide actionable business insights.

  • Build and enhance Power Apps, Power Automate workflows and supporting data structures to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.

  • Support the administration and continuous improvement of SharePoint sites, hubs and content, ensuring a positive user experience and compliance with governance standards.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical reporting and automation solutions.

  • Support solution testing, user acceptance, training and adoption activities to ensure successful implementation.

  • Monitor solution performance, resolve issues and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of reporting and automation capabilities.

  • Ensure all solutions comply with established governance, documentation and quality standards.

  • Share knowledge, contribute ideas for innovation and support the continuous development of team capabilities and best practices.

Here's what we’re looking for:

  • Significant experience developing reporting, automation or digital solutions within a corporate or commercial environment.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.

  • Experience building dashboards, reports and data visualisations that enable effective decision-making.

  • Experience maintaining and supporting SharePoint sites, hubs and related content.

  • Understanding of operational data management and master data structures.

  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and implementing automated workflows.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering work to agreed deadlines.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and manage expectations across different audiences.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Experience working within governance and control frameworks.

  • Advanced skills in Power BI (including DAX), Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint and Excel.

  • Knowledge of SQL, SAP ERP/S4 HANA/BW, Microsoft BI technologies (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) or wider Microsoft 365 technologies would be advantageous.
