About the role

This role plays a critical part in protecting customers, revenues, and the integrity of EE and BT sales activity. The role holder will deliver robust sales, commission, and trading reporting and insight across all channels and products, supporting effective miss selling management and strong commercial governance.
By producing high quality operational compliance, trading, and commission reporting, the role helps the business understand risk, identify emerging issues early, and make informed decisions. The role directly strengthens the control environment across multiple EE and BT systems and supports ethical, transparent, and compliant sales behaviour.

What you’ll be doing

  • Delivering sales and commission validations across all Consumer products and sales channels, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Monitoring miss selling adherence, supporting the setting, tracking, and review of control thresholds and targets.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining a high quality Validation & Compliance Reporting Suite, highlighting non compliance, emerging risks, and potential dishonesty that could negatively impact customers or business revenues.
  • Providing trading and promotional insight, including monitoring the performance and risk associated with offers, incentives, and campaigns.
  • Identifying control weaknesses and data issues, investigating root causes, and proposing practical solutions to strengthen existing controls and processes.
  • Producing ad hoc analysis and reporting, often to tight deadlines, to support urgent business requests, trading activity, or risk events.
  • Working closely with Trading, Commissions, and wider stakeholders to ensure reporting is clear, accurate, and actionable.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Experience working in an analytics, reporting, or validation function, using large and complex datasets.
  • Strong SQL capability, with experience querying, validating, and transforming data.
  • Hands on experience working in GCP (e.g. BigQuery or related services) within a data warehousing environment.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, controls, and reconciliation principles.
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify risk, trends, and anomalies.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at different levels.
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines, prioritise workload, and work independently.
  • IT literate, with strong experience using MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and business processes.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience using GitLab or other CI/CD tools for version control, automation, or scheduling.
  • Experience translating complex analysis into clear, user friendly insights for non technical audiences.
  • Exposure to commission models, trading activity, or incentive schemes.
  • Experience creating and maintaining process documentation and procedures.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders and teams in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of data quality monitoring and continuous improvement techniques.
