About the role

We are looking for an experienced Anaplan Developer / Designer to enhance and support our existing Anaplan Actuals (P&L) implementation and lead the next phase of Outlook / Forecast planning. The role requires strong hands on Anaplan expertise, advanced model and UX design skills, experience with platform and engine migrations, and the ability to work closely with business users to deliver a single source of truth for planning and forecasting.

What you’ll be doing

Anaplan Model Design, Enhancement & Migration
• Enhance, optimize, and support existing Anaplan Actuals (P&L) models.
• Design and build Outlook / Forecast models, covering:
o Risk submissions
o Sales opportunities
o Profit improvement plans
• Convert and modernize models from Classical Engine to Polaris Engine, including:
o Model redesign and refactoring
o Performance optimization
o Reconciliation and validation post conversion
• Apply Anaplan best practices (DISCO, PLANS methodology).

Platform, Server & Engine Migration
• Support Anaplan server / environment migration from one location or region to another.
• Perform pre and post migration impact analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with Anaplan support and internal IT teams to ensure smooth cutover with minimal business impact.

UX, UI & User Experience
• Design intuitive, scalable Anaplan UX dashboards for business and executive users.
• Create role based, decision oriented views aligned with finance and leadership needs.
• Improve usability, navigation, and performance using Anaplan UX best practices.

Access Management & Security
• Manage Anaplan access control for business users, including:
o Role based access
o Selective access to lists and modules
o User provisioning and de provisioning
• Ensure data security, segregation of duties, and compliance with governance standards.
• Support business users with access issues and audits where required.

Single Source of Truth & Governance
• Ensure a single source of truth across Actuals and Outlook planning.
• Maintain strong auditability, data lineage, and reconciliation across models.
• Manage versions, scenarios, and forecast submission cycles.

Business Engagement & Delivery
• Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Performance teams to:
o Understand business requirements
o Translate requirements into functional and technical designs
• Produce clear handover documents for partner / vendor build teams.
• Support UAT, defect resolution, and production releases.

Essential Skills / Experience

Core Anaplan Skills
• 6–7 years of hands on Anaplan experience as Developer / Model Designer.
• Strong expertise in:
o Model architecture and design
o Complex calculation logic
o Lists, hierarchies, actions, and versions
• Proven experience in Classical to Polaris Engine conversion.
• Strong UX / Dashboard design capability.

Platform & Security Experience
• Experience with Anaplan environment/server migration across regions.
• Strong understanding of access management, role configuration, and selective access.

Functional & Soft Skills
• Good understanding of P&L, Actuals, Forecasting, and Outlook planning.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with partner / offshore delivery teams.
