About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Systems (PS) Functional Consultant to drive the design, implementation, and optimisation of project accounting and controlling processes in SAP S/4HANA.

The role involves working across project lifecycle management, cost control, and financial integration, enabling efficient execution of capital and customer projects.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and global partners to deliver scalable and high-quality SAP Finance solutions.

What you’ll be doing

The role holder will be part of the SAP R2R functional team within BT Digital, and is capable for creating and building solutions

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and optimise project lifecycle processes including WBS, budgeting, and execution
- Gather and document business requirements and create solutions
- Configure SAP PS including WBS, networks, costing, budgeting and settlements
- Ensure integration with FI, CO, IM, AA
- Help end-to-end implementation lifecycle (Design → Build → Test → Deploy)
- Lead testing (SIT/UAT) and help defect resolution
- Help data migration and validation
- Develop reporting and analytics for project performance
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives

Essential Skills / Experience

• Functional Expertise
o Strong knowledge of:
 SAP Projects
 Asset Accounting (AA)
 Investment Management (IM)
o SAP PS Configuration & Functional Delivery – Configure SAP PS functionalities including:
 Project structures (WBS elements, networks, milestones)
 Costing, budgeting, and settlement rules
o Translate business needs into Functional Design Specifications (FSDs)
o Experience with S/4HANA Finance implementations or migrations

• Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Ensure strong integration with
o FI (Project accounting & settlement)
o CO (Cost controlling & reporting)
o MM (procurement for projects)
o SD (project-based revenue)


• Professional Experience
o Typically, 5–9 years of SAP Finance experience
o Demonstrate experience in:
o End-to-end R2R’/SAP Project implementations
o Requirement gathering & stakeholder management
o Exposure to Agile delivery environments
