About the role

The S2P Solution Designer is responsible for detailed solution design, configuration support, and functional integration across the Source to Pay (S2P) landscape, working under the guidance of the Solution Architect.

The role ensures that business requirements are translated into well defined, build ready SAP and SaaS designs across SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM, Ariba, Concur, and VIM, supporting both transformation initiatives and BAU change.

What you’ll be doing

S2P Functional & Solution Design
• Produce detailed functional and solution designs for S2P processes including:
o Requisition to Purchase Order (R2P)
o Supplier onboarding and master data
o Invoice processing and 3 way matching
o Expense and travel processing
• Translate business requirements into fit for purpose SAP and S2P platform designs.
• Support solution design across SAP MM, Ariba, Concur, and VIM, aligned to architecture standards.

SAP & Procurement Platform Configuration Support
• Support configuration and solution design activities for:
o SAP S/4HANA – MM & FI touchpoints
o SAP Ariba (Buying, Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts)
o SAP Concur (Travel & Expense)
o VIM (OpenText / SAP VIM) for invoice automation
• Define process flows, data mappings, validation rules, and integration touchpoints.
• Support integration design between SAP and SaaS platforms under architectural guidance.

Finance & Controls Alignment
• Work closely with Finance, AP, Procurement, and Tax teams to ensure designs support:
o Financial posting accuracy
o Approval controls and tolerances
o Audit and compliance requirements
• Assist in defining exception handling, error resolution, and reconciliation processes.
• Ensure changes are aligned with BT governance, risk, and control frameworks.

Testing, Delivery & Support
• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect triage.
• Validate solution designs during build and testing phases.
• Support cutover, hypercare, and steady state improvements.
• Maintain clear design documentation, process diagrams, and configuration rationales.

Essential Skills / Experience

• 3–7 years of experience in SAP S2P / Procurement / Finance transformation roles.
• Strong functional knowledge of Source to Pay processes.
• Hands on experience with:
o SAP S/4HANA
o SAP MM
o SAP Ariba
o SAP Concur
o VIM (OpenText or SAP)
• Good understanding of invoice processing, procurement controls, and financial postings.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Experience working in large enterprises or telecom environments.
• Exposure to integration concepts (SAP CPI / middleware awareness).
• Experience supporting Ariba SAP or Concur SAP integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models.
• SAP certification in MM, Ariba, or S/4HANA Finance
