
Internal Communications Manager - Change

Location: London or Bristol, at least 3 days a week on site.

We’re recruiting for two roles within BT Group’s change communications team – One 12 month fixed-term contract and one 4-month fixed-term contract (which we’re anticipating we’ll fill internally).
The roles manage comms across a diverse portfolio of change - from how and where our people work, through to the upgrade of the country’s network, and everything in between.
About the role
The Internal Communications Manager's role is to:
- Lead the communication of a number of high impact, complex, strategic change projects and programmes across BT Group.
- Tell the story of BT Group’s transformation across the business, so that our people trust the case for change and actively adopt new ways of working, structures and behaviours that will help BT succeed.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and deliver the communication of a number of high impact, complex, strategic change projects and programmes: seeing both the big picture and finer details.
- Tell the story of BT’s transformation across the business, so that our people trust the case for change and actively adopt new ways of working, structures and behaviours that will help BT succeed.
- Create and deliver bespoke communications using a consistent change comms approach.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing constructive feedback and best practices in communications strategies.
- Collaborate with teams across Corporate Affairs and Brand, and the wider business, to drive collective success.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Strong internal communications experience in a large, complex organisation, with a track record of managing change or transformation communications.
- Able to see the bigger picture and the finer detail, and break down complicated, technical and corporate speak into clear communications.
- Ability to work at pace, manage ambiguity and work across multiple projects at any one time.
- Evidence of working brilliantly with colleagues at all levels of the business, across a range of corporate and operational functions, including senior stakeholders.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Change management qualifications and/or experience in applying methodologies to communications.
- Experience working in programme and project structures, leading the communications workstream.
- External comms (media and customer) and crisis communications experience.
