Job Description

Closing Date: Tuesday 8th September 2026

This is a six month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to become a permanent role.

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to join BT Group's high-profile Commercial Analysis team, working at the heart of some of the most important strategic and financial decisions across the organisation.

Supporting the Group CFO, Group Strategy teams and senior leaders across BT, you'll provide commercial insight and analysis that helps shape investment decisions, evaluate business performance and drive long-term value creation.

You'll play a key role in two high-impact Group initiatives: the continued rollout of our Economic Profit framework and the annual Group Enterprise Valuation process. Working across Consumer, Business, Openreach, Networks, Digital and Corporate Units, you'll gain unrivalled exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic decision-making and the full breadth of BT's operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver insightful commercial analysis that supports strategic decision-making and improves financial performance across BT Group.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Strategy and the wider business to provide meaningful challenge, influence decisions and drive action.
  • Support the rollout of BT's Economic Profit framework, helping business units better understand end-to-end profitability and value creation.
  • Build strong relationships across the Group to embed new financial methodologies, tools and ways of thinking.
  • Lead key elements of the annual Group Enterprise Valuation process, providing robust analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for valuation methodologies and cost of capital, supporting investment appraisal activities across the organisation.
