Job Description
What you'll be doing
• Data Analysis: Analysing user behaviour data, product performance metrics, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
• Reporting & Monitoring: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and creating reports to track product performance and identify potential issues.
• Insights and Optimization: Analyse digital performance to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. This includes supporting A/B and multivariate testing to improve customer experience and conversion.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicating data insights and recommendations to various stakeholders within the organization.
• Collaboration: Working closely with product and trading managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable product features and enhancements.
The skills and experience you will have under your belt
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data sets and identify meaningful patterns.
• Technical Skills:
o Analytics Tools: Expertise in platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4, GA360), Adobe Analytics, and exposure to tag management systems like Google Tag Manager (GTM).
o Data Languages: Strong proficiency in querying languages like SQL
o Data Platforms: Experience with cloud data platforms e.g. GCP
o Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative, statistical, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data interpretation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey data insights and recommendations.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
• Product Sense: Understanding of product development lifecycle, user experience principles, and business goals.
• Other: Work with Session replay tools e.g. Content Square and understanding of Data Collection and Tag Management Systems.
Why this job matters
The Data Analytics Specialist identifies, designs and runs data analytics processes to enable stakeholders to make data enabled decisions and inform the BT Group's data strategies.
What you’ll be doing
1.Drives the scoping, planning, design and delivery of Data Analytics activities as a part of relevant and forward-looking projects across the BT group.
2.Contributes towards partnerships within the BT group, proactively engaging and liaising with functional teams on analytics to deliver impactful programs using data.
3.Conducts detailed data analysis on complex data used across businesses to evaluate performance and to synthesise findings into key insights for partner team's decision making.
4.Develops advanced analytics products in SQL, Python or any other tools as part of audits that provide actionable business insight to key stakeholders.
5.Designs and builds data visualisation to engage audience in a compelling way, and to enable effective storytelling.
6.Leverages automation to maximise efficiency in repeatable data collection, data analytics and other standards for consistency and reusability.
7.Drives positives relationship with other data and analytics-focused teams to leverage ongoing initiatives and capabilities, or hand-over data models developed during programs.
8.Mentors junior analysts to be able to manage the entire project pipeline for the analytics team, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.
9.Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in data analytics.
