As part of our Service tribe, we're looking for a talented Engineering Specialist to join us. You'll play a critical role in driving technical excellence, innovation, and successful project delivery for customer-facing applications with the support of our telco OSS/BSS backend. What you’ll be doing

Project Management
Oversee the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards.
Technology Stack
Demonstrate proficiency in the following technologies: React, Node.js, AWS (Amazon Web Services)
Innovation
Drive innovation within the engineering team by exploring and integrating cutting-edge technologies such as GenAI into our projects to improve efficiency and customer experience.
Delivery Excellence
Champion the implementation of best practices in development methodologies, code reviews, and testing processes to ensure the delivery of robust and scalable software solutions.
Communication
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders, to align technical decisions with business objectives.

The skills you’ll need

To be successful in the role of Digital Engineering professional at BT Business Digital, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
• You should have a demonstrate track record leading the technical teams, ideally with exposure to digital customer service platforms.
• We value hands-on experience in coding and implementing digital solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively.
• Excellent knowledge of leveraging TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS technology to deliver end to end web applications.
• Excellent knowledge of leveraging at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS, to deliver cloud-native applications is highly desired. Experience with other cloud platforms is also valuable.
• Familiarity with Dynatrace or other monitoring and observability tools.
• Familiarity with BFF (Backend for Frontend) and Micro-Service Architecture.
• Familiarity with building reusable features as capability
• Familiarity with CI-CD Pipelines, Agile Methodologies and Jira as a project management tool
• Excellent people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
• Strong problem-solving and methodical abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Guides partnerships with business and operational stakeholders to conduct business and technical discovery.
• While not mandatory, knowledge of the telco domain is a bonus as it will help you better know our industry-specific challenges and requirements.
