Why this role matters

The Business Field Service Central Resourcing Co-ordinator plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence across Business Engineering teams. Working as part of the project team, supporting the front door, to ensure that large scale and complex delivery projects are executed in line with customer and business expectation. Whether through direct labour or third-party support, the Co-ordinator ensures the unit consistently meets service targets, delivering Right First Time (RFT) outcomes and maintaining high Trustpilot scores. Additionally, they take ownership of supporting field capacity levels, safeguarding the correct shrinkage to keep service delivery on track.

This position is essential for driving efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and enable engineering project activities utilising the Salesforce platform.
  • Create and implement resource deployment plans to maximise utilisation, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery & Governance Leads and Area Managers to review work, delivery timescales, and expectations.
  • Monitor and highlight gaps between customer demand and field capacity/skills, escalating where necessary.
  • Support lifecycle of field project requests, including compliance, in-life management, and performance reporting.
  • Manage planned absences and leave groups, including overrides, sensitive periods, and Christmas schedules.
  • Handle customer escalations and jeopardy-manage capacity issues using all available resourcing solutions.
  • Manage third-party resource requirements and validate costs and FTE for projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, reporting, and tactical resource planning.

What skills you’ll need

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word (essential).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in resourcing planning, with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to make key decisions in high-intensity situations, including resource allocation and invoking escalation processes when necessary.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and process simplification.
