Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Professional

Location: Sheffield, Hybrid – 2 days a week on site depending on business needs + occasional travel overseas and to our Barrow site (expenses paid)

Salary: £47,017+ (DOE)

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will support procurement activity in line with governance and compliance requirements, helping ensure purchase orders are created, placed and coordinated through to completion. You will also resolve invoice queries with shared services and contribute to improving procurement policies and processes.

You will work closely with the Procurement Manager to support the governance of key subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring delivery performance, maintaining action logs and supporting supplier reviews. Alongside this, you will help mitigate risks and identify opportunities linked to operational and contractual performance, support supplier relationships, and contribute to programme and management reviews while ensuring new contracts are set up in line with customer requirements.

Core duties:

• You will have experience across supply chain activities, including sourcing, supplier due diligence, order book management, and continuous improvement mindset
• You will bring subcontract management experience, including negotiation, influencing, contracting and delivering outcomes that support business targets
• You will be skilled in supplier coordination, including cost governance, risk mitigation, opportunity identifying, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability considerations
• You will be able to use ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or equivalent for PO creation, maintenance, expediting and invoicing
• You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to interpret data and produce reports supporting procurement strategies
• You will demonstrate the ability to coordinate supplier activities to meet contractual and operational requirements across multi-faceted programmes
