Job title: Supply Chain Manager – Governance, Compliance & Sustainability

Salary: Circa £60,000 commiserate on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

As Supply Chain Manager, you will be part of the Maritime Services functional excellence team responsible for Supply Chain Governance, Compliance and Sustainability activities. Responsible for delivering the supply chain governance capability for Maritime Services – which includes Supply Chain process ownership, supplier due diligence, audit/compliance activities, and functional sustainability initiatives.

You will be recognised as a leading professional with extensive knowledge within your field. With the ability to understand and implement new legislation into our governance framework with an effective and a risk-based mind-set.

  • Managing and delivering the functional governance plan for Maritime Services, including process rationalisation, standardised supplier On-Boarding and creating a sustainable governance framework fit for the future
  • Responsible to lead the Supply Chain Sustainability Strategy, including Scope 3 decarbonisation and building sustainability into the end-to-end supply chain processes/routines
  • Responsibility for the on boarding and due diligence of a complex portfolio of circa 1000+ suppliers
  • Facilitating the use of functional toolsets to improve ways of working
  • Manage the business audit plan, ensure compliance to process/legislation and follow-up on issues and actions
  • Be a thought leader, influencing change across the business
  • Be seen by internal and external stakeholders as a subject expert for Governance within the business
  • Responsibility for a team of 4 personnel

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to develop and lead a high performing team, enabling a positive working culture that embraces diversity of thought
  • Ability to collaborate with other functions and link different aspects of legislation into the supply chain
  • Significant experience working within a supply chain and/or similar environment
  • Possess a high standard of supply chain competence in key areas of Governance, Audit, Process Mapping, Functional Awareness, sustainable practices, and Strategy Development
  • Good understanding of external environment and relevant market intelligence
  • Managing and influencing internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure successful delivery of governance requirements, challenging current business practices, and working with sector/group to implement best practices

Desirable

  • CIPS L5 qualification or equivalent standard
  • Auditing qualifications
