About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an excellent and exciting leadership opportunity for a Learning Delivery Lead to join our team in SA – Osborne (location is flexible).

The Learning Delivery Lead plays a critical role in leading and managing capability and development enablers that grow a sustained and capable workforce. The role will maintain a high degree of knowledge of the business unit, industry, marketplace and trends.

The Learning Delivery Lead is accountable for the success of learning governance, systems and technology across the BAE Systems Australia Enterprise. This role will closely work with Functional and Technical training specialists to improve learning quality, ensure learning is aligned to objectives; mitigate risks; continue to build our Learning Management System (LMS) functionality; develop our learning and assessment strategies; embed digital learning and deliver on enterprise-wide learning initiatives

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders enabling enterprise-learning strategy, digital learning solutions and learning support. Use a consulting approach to influence instructional design and creative methods by developing practical learning interventions
  • Establish, maintain and improve Learning Management Systems across the Enterprise through alignment with the Software Development Life Cycle – SDLC. Oversee Essential Learning Program and maintain the Enterprise compliance training program)
  • Coordinate HR learning needs, ensure global alignment and budget/ forecast for the provision of HR learning to and on behalf of the HR function
  • Supporting commercial and effective delivery of essential learning that supports compliance to legal and regulatory requirements; supports business strategy and aligns to the global BAE Systems Australia direction and practice as relevant
  • Supporting the implementation and continued use of Learning Management Systems across and within the Enterprise to support the consistent management of learning

About YOU

  • Certificate IV or higher qualification in Training & Assessment
  • Experience in the Learning & Development technical competency or allied discipline
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of proficiency in written and verbal communication and an ability to adapt to suit a variety of difference audiences is critical to this role
  • Understanding of the Systems Approach to Learning, SQEP frameworks and wider evaluation and audit processes
  • Ability to influence, motivate, develop and mentor employees, team members and members of the People Organisation
  • Excellent ability to manage and analyse data to generate insights and business decision making. Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Eligibility to obtain a Defence security clearance
