As the business continues to grow, we’re strengthening how we develop our people and capability. We’re looking for a Learning & Development Team Lead er to take the lead on training and development across the site, ensuring our workforce has the skills needed today and for the years ahead.

The Opportunity :

In this role, you’ll lead learning and development activity across Prestwick Aerosystems. You’ll be responsible for s upporting and implementing the site training strategy, running the Technical Training School, and supporting managers to build capability within their teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with operational and functional leaders to deliver practical training solutions, develop early careers pathways, and support long-term talent and succession planning.

How you will contribute to the team :

  • D eliver the site-wide learning and development strategy, aligned to business priorities and operational needs.
  • Own the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the Technical Training School and Learning Resource Centre.
  • Lead early careers activity, including apprenticeships, work experience, and STEM engagement.
  • Work with managers to identify training needs, maintain capability maps, and support succession and talent planning.
  • Lead and develop the L&D team and manage the central training budget, sourcing effective internal and external training solutions.

About you :

  • Experience leading learning and development activity within a technical, manufacturing, or operational environment.
  • Experience managing a training function, academy, or technical training school.
  • Experience leading and developing a small team.
  • Relevant professional or vocational qualification in learning, training, or development.
