Job Description
As Talent Management Partner, you will play a key role in delivering ASOS' talent management agenda, helping us build the skills and capabilities we need and develop, deploy and retain talent, so we have the right people in the right roles at the right time.
Reporting to the Head of Talent Management, you will drive the development of our skills framework and skills-based approach to talent, oversee performance management, and support the delivery of talent reviews and succession planning. Working closely with leaders, People Partners, Talent Acquisition and Reward, you will help ensure our new EVP and Values are reflected in every talent decision.
Skills and Capability
Driving the design and roll-out of a common skills language and skills profiles across ASOS.
Working with leaders to identify the priority skills and capabilities the business needs now and in the future, and assessing current capability gaps.
Developing skills-based development pathways, resources and guidance that help ASOSers grow their capabilities and careers.
Partnering with Talent Acquisition on build, buy, borrow or redeploy decisions for priority capabilities.
Supporting the pilot of an internal opportunity marketplace, connecting ASOSers to projects, roles and development opportunities based on their skills.
Contributing to workforce plans and capability pipelines for priority business capabilities.
Using skills data to track capability growth and report on progress.
Performance Management
Overseeing the annual performance cycle, from objective setting linked to our functional OKRs, through quarterly check-ins, to year-end review.
Coordinating and supporting calibration sessions to ensure high-performance ratings are consistent and fair across functions.
Designing and continually improving manager guidance, FAQs and calibration resources that support a consistent, high-quality performance cycle.
Analysing and formatting performance data to identify and share trends, flagging inconsistencies and tracking completion.
Talent Reviews and Succession
Partnering with the Head of Talent Management to deliver the annual talent review cycle: building data packs that drive meaningful discussion, coordinating sessions with leaders and tracking agreed actions.
Supporting the identification and recording of top talent across all functions.
Supporting managers to record development plans in Workday for top talent.
Maintaining succession data and reporting on bench strength and readiness.
Analysing talent data to identify key trends and help ensure outcomes are fair and inclusive.
Talent Philosophy and Values
Supporting the roll-out of the ASOS Talent Philosophy across all functions.
Embedding our values and behaviours into performance, talent review, succession and promotion processes.
Creating toolkits, guides and resources for managers and ASOSers.
Stakeholder Partnering
Partnering with Talent & Culture Team, leaders and People Partners to deliver talent processes on time.
Coaching managers to hold effective performance, talent and career conversations.
Using Workday, people data and AI tools to report on progress and simplify processes.
Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
We believe being together in person helps us move faster, connect more deeply, and achieve more as a team. That’s why our approach to working together includes spending at least 3 days a week in the office. It’s a rhythm that speeds up decision-making, helps ASOSers learn from each other more quickly, and builds the kind of culture where people can grow, create, and succeed.
