Drive AI innovation with M365 at Anglian Water

As an M365 Engineer – AI within our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle engineering, support, and optimisation of AI solutions using M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio. You’ll play a key role in shaping the technical strategy, ensuring secure and compliant integration of AI capabilities across the business, and supporting colleagues in adopting new digital tools.

You’ll work closely with Technology Architects, Product Owners, and Cyber Security teams to align solutions with business needs, while engaging stakeholders to promote adoption and gather feedback. This is a hands-on technical role with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What you will be doing

  • Configure, integrate, and maintain M365 Copilot across Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and more.

  • Deploy and manage Copilot Studio capabilities, including custom skills, plugins, and connectors.

  • Ensure secure and compliant integration with Microsoft Graph, Search, and Entra ID.

  • Provide day-to-day operational support, monitoring, and troubleshooting for M365 Copilot and related services.

  • Apply Microsoft best practices for AI governance, data privacy, and responsible AI use.

  • Monitor usage analytics to identify adoption trends and recommend improvements.

What does it take to be an M365 Engineer – AI?

  • Proven experience deploying and managing Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Graph API, Microsoft Search, and Entra ID administration.

  • Knowledge of AI governance, data security, and compliance in M365.

  • Outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Project management and organisational skills, with a focus on continuous learning.
