Job Description

About 9fin

9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion.

Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets.

Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption.

We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product-market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category-defining platform for debt markets worldwide.

A note from the hiring manager

At 9fin, data isn’t just a support function; it’s at the core of our product. You’ll be surrounded by smart, curious people who are passionate about using data to make better decisions, improve our product, and create meaningful impact. If you’re looking for autonomy to own high-impact initiatives from conception through to delivery, and the opportunity to influence the entire organisation, then 9fin might be the perfect fit for you. I’d love to hear from you, apply now to learn more! – Rory, Head of Data Analytics

What you’ll work on

As our Analytics Lead, you will build and lead a high-performing team of Product and Data Analysts that drives measurable product and business outcomes through clear metric ownership, robust instrumentation governance, and repeatable decision-making cadences.

  • Lead, manage, and coach Product and Data Analysts, setting clear expectations, growth plans, and performance standards.

  • Own intake, prioritisation, and execution rhythm for analytics work across Product, Finance, Content, Sales, Marketing, and other business teams.

  • Establish and run a clear operating model for analytics delivery, including planning cadences, trade-off decisions, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Embed hypothesis-led analytics into product development, including pre-launch success criteria, post-launch analysis, and structured decision/learning loops.

  • Own instrumentation and metric governance, including taxonomy, ownership, data quality standards, and metric definitions.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to align on north star metrics, team KPIs, and organisational KPIs.

  • Build reusable analysis assets and self-serve pathways to reduce repetitive ad-hoc requests.

  • Ensure consistently high-quality analytical outputs with clear narratives, actionable recommendations, and decision-ready communication.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 12 months, you will be expected to:

  • Increase adoption of pre-launch success criteria and post-launch review practices across product squads.

  • Establish clear ownership for core product and business KPIs and associated definitions.

  • Improve time-to-decision for launch, performance, and optimisation questions.

  • Reduce reactive analytics demand through reusable assets, better tooling, and self-serve enablement.

  • Build a high-performing, engaged analyst team with clear remit, responsibilities, and development pathways.

About You

We’re looking for a high-agency Analytics Lead who can turn analytics from a reactive service into a decision engine by owning the operating model, team leadership, and strategic prioritisation across Product and business domains.

You likely bring:

  • Strong hands-on analytics leadership experience across both Product Analytics and Data Analytics.

  • Proven people management experience, including coaching senior analysts and building high-performing teams.

  • A track record of driving cross-functional behavioural change, especially with Product Managers and Product/Engineering leadership.

  • End-to-end analytics depth, including instrumentation, event modelling, and metric definition—not just dashboarding and last-mile reporting.

  • Experience owning analytics operating models in ambiguous, high-demand environments (intake, prioritisation, ceremonies, and cadence).

  • A high bar for analytical rigour, clarity of thinking, and communication quality.

  • Familiarity with modern analytics tooling, including semantic layers, self-serve BI, event analytics, and agentic analytics workflows.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in B2B Saas, marketplace or data product environments
