The Mars Snacking Analytics, Digital, & Data for Global TLT team has a vision to deliver leading edge digital solutions that Associates use across the enterprise to make work easier, powered by simplified processes and trustworthy data​. This vision includes elements like “making better decisions powered by advanced analytics” and “decisioning at speed spanning from farm-to-mouth with decision intelligence”.

The Senior Director of Analytic Product Management & Business Architecture supports this vision by leading Product Management, Product Ownership, and Business Architecture (formerly Trailblazing) functions. This role is accountable for ensuring that these resources can embed on product teams effectively to determine product strategy and deliver products that achieve desired outcomes, while also providing thought leadership for advancement in maturity as we build capability as a scaled agile product delivery organization.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data analytics, data science, mathematics, statistics, or related field. Master’s degree a plus.

  • Analytics foundation – knowledgeable in data science, AI, machine learning, and operations research. Practical experience developing analytics products a plus.

  • People management experience – ability to lead a team of technical resources.

  • Strong track record of customer facing success and business acumen in working with teams to solve problems with algorithms, ideate on the art of the possible, and bring possibilities to life.

  • Awareness of the complexities with developing high-quality, sustainable technical products.

  • Practitioner experience in the supply chain domain a plus.


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Manages product managers, product owners, and business architecture team. This includes recruiting and hiring talent, setting goals and objectives, and providing feedback and performance evaluations.

  • Partner with other leaders in the Global TLT leadership teams and the Global Digital Technologies teams to ensure that data & analytics teams are focused on delivering the right products to make work easier and unlock value.

  • Collaborate with the CDAO team to ensure that all product teams are staffed with the appropriate internal capabilities and partner ecosystem to achieve product roadmap objectives.

  • Provide guidance and support to product managers, product owners, and business architecture team leadership to ensure that all teams deliver their part in building high-quality analytics/AI experiences to Associates.

  • Act as thought leader within Digital Technologies organization, advocating for appropriate adaptation as we advance in maturity as a scaled agile product delivery organization.

  • Liaise with global functions and regional to ensure product strategy and roadmaps are sequenced and prioritized for intentional focus on the right pain points to drive forward momentum in unlocking sustained value delivery.

  • Liaise with CDAO to ensure product strategy informs prioritization of data foundation focus and scaling, including information governance, data translation, and architecture.

  • Represent capabilities needed from internal talent for competitive advantage, as well as capabilities required from an ecosystem of partners to ensure delivery of organizational goals.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 252,000.00 - USD 346,500.00
