Job Description

The opportunity

At Vantage Towers, we’re on a mission to power Europe’s sustainable digital transformation. As a leading tower company, we’re ushering in an era of technology-driven advances to help connect people, businesses, and internet-enabled devices like never before. We combine the scale, stability and quality of our tower network with the agility, optimism and energy of a start-up.

As a young TowerCo, we have already achieved strong results with a continued focus on accelerating growth and a special emphasis put on sustainability.

As part of our team, you’ll work in a dynamic and multicultural environment that embraces open communication, collaboration and teamwork.

If you’re ready to take responsibility and shape the future of telco infrastructure with us, then let’s level up in your career and reach the top – together.

Your contribution

  • Lead and develop the Data team (data engineers, data analysts and data architects); set clear goals, coach performance, and foster a collaborative delivery culture.
  • Drive prioritization based on business value, strategic impact and feasibility; maintain a transparent backlog and delivery roadmap - including AI-enabling priorities where data foundations are critical.
  • Ensure key datasets are AI‑ready and adopted by driving data quality, documentation and consistent business semantics that support downstream AI and analytics consumption.
  • Manage stakeholder demand end-to-end: clarify needs, translate into deliverable requirements, and align expectations across business and IT.
  • Oversee the development and operation of a scalable, maintainable and reliable GCP-based data platform and analytics products as the foundation for scalable AI use cases.
  • Steer data integration, transformation and reporting delivery across GCP components (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Run, Airflow, Dataflow) and related services.
  • Ensure orchestration, monitoring and operational transparency; establish run-books, KPIs and platform health reporting, and drive cost awareness and optimization of GCP resources.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Architect on target architecture, standards and governance, and coordinate delivery across internal teams and external partners to ensure high-quality outcomes.

What makes you stand out

  • You combine business-outcome-driven leadership with Data‑to‑AI thinking: shaping datasets and access patterns that accelerate downstream AI and automation use cases.
  • You make data products stick: strong stakeholder management and adoption orientation - ensuring reporting and datasets are truly used in day-to-day decision making.
  • You lead with platform thinking: maintainability, reliability and operational excellence - not one-off deliveries.
  • You are cost-aware and pragmatic in cloud environments; you establish practical guardrails and make consumption transparent.
  • You collaborate effectively with technical experts (e.g., Data Architects and Engineers) and can challenge solutions constructively without turning the role into a deep-technical architect position.

You must have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, computer science, data analytics, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Several years of experience in data, analytics, and/or data platform environments with responsibility for business-facing delivery.
  • Proven experience leading teams and/or complex delivery streams in stakeholder-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms, ideally GCP, including data lake and scalable analytics platform concepts.
  • Familiarity with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Airflow, Dataflow, or comparable services on other cloud platforms.
  • Some exposure to ML/GenAI/RAG/agentic implementations (worked alongside teams delivering such solutions; understands key data requirements and common pitfalls).
  • Experience in managing data integration, transformation and reporting environments; ability to steer end-to-end delivery.
  • Experience driving business value and adoption from data solutions (self-service analytics, reporting products, datasets).
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled analytics capabilities in cloud data platforms (e.g., AI‑assisted development or exploration features where available) and the associated governance considerations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts such as Data Architects and Engineers and to align on standards and best practices.
  • Understanding of cost optimization and efficient use of cloud resources.
  • Fluent English (C1), written and spoken.

What we offer

  • A diverse, multicultural setup based on our values – Accountability, Respect, Teamwork, and Trust – and the unique opportunity to shape the organisation
  • An attractive salary package
  • Meal Allowance: Delivered on Pluxee card - €10.20/day
  • Pension Plan
  • Full Health Insurance: For employees and co-payment for family members
  • Life Insurance
  • 7 extra vacation days: 4 flexible, plus 3 fixed — 1 on Carnival, 1 on Christmas, and half a day on Easter and New Year's.
  • Parking Slot
