About this Role
We are seeking a Supply Planner to join our Network Logistics function in Budapest. You will execute tactical and operational supply planning, ensuring that supply chain plans align with business priorities and delivery requirements. The role focuses on identifying material and capacity constraints, developing feasible mitigation scenarios and managing planning exceptions through resolution or appropriate escalation.You will contribute to Vodafone’s digital supply chain capability, supported by SAP Integrated Business Planning and connected enterprise systems. Working across supply planning, procurement, inventory, asset management, finance, engineering and deployment, you will help balance material availability, service levels, working capital, asset utilisation and cost.
What you’ll do
- Establish supply plans by evaluating supplier commitments, budget constraints, available returns inventory and material availability through the Asset Marketplace.
- Recommend feasible supply scenarios and support the prioritisation and allocation of materials and capacity.
- Prepare clear, decision-ready insights for Supply Review Meetings.
- Share monthly material requirement forecasts with suppliers and identify potential risks or constraints across the planning horizon.
- Contribute to collaborative forecasting meetings and participate in supplier discussions with relevant stakeholders.
- Analyse supplier performance, identify root causes of delivery or supply issues and help develop practical solutions.
- Support the definition of inventory targets and monitor stock levels against agreed expectations.
- Analyse and report inventory risks, including aged and potentially excess inventory.
- Monitor approved supply plans and identify exceptions caused by significant demand or supply changes and material shortages.
- Prepare response scenarios, apply established exception-management protocols and follow actions through to resolution.
- Escalate exceptions that require further review or approval.
- Recommend and implement agreed improvements to supply planning processes.
- Collaborate with deployment, engineering, finance, procurement and planning teams to maintain alignment with business priorities.
Who you are
- You have at least five years of relevant supply chain experience.
- You can manage both expected and unexpected planning changes while working with limited information and time constraints.
- You can develop and compare supply scenarios to support effective decision-making.
- You can bring together inputs from deployment, engineering, finance and supply planning to create a joined-up planning view.
- You understand how to balance customer service, working capital, asset utilisation and cost.
- You communicate clearly and work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- You are fluent in English.
- A degree in engineering is preferred.
