If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.Reporting to the Head of European Programmes at Vodafone Foundation, this role leads the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives across multiple European markets, aligned with the Foundation’s global engagement strategy.It is responsible for high-impact campaigns supporting flagship programmes such as Skills Upload Jr, Hi Digital, and TOZI, as well as key partnerships with international organisations.The role drives programme visibility, strengthens impact, and ensures consistent messaging aligned with Vodafone Foundation’s mission and Group priorities.It shapes the positioning and narrative of European programmes, defining clear value propositions and communication strategies.Working closely with local Foundations and Group functions, the role influences campaign priorities, strategic direction, and market alignment across Europe. Success in this position requires strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and the ability to coordinate complex multi-market initiatives with a high degree of autonomy. In addition, the role supports Vodafone Foundation Germany’s communication strategy, enhancing programme visibility, positioning, and multi-channel communications execution.

What you’ll do

  • Lead Pan-European Communication Campaigns
    Define, develop, and deliver high-impact multi-country campaigns for flagship programmes such as Skills Upload Jr and Hi Digital, overseeing the full campaign lifecycle from strategy and localisation to execution, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Drive Strategic Positioning & Narrative Development
    Shape programme narratives, value propositions, and messaging frameworks, ensuring alignment with Vodafone Foundation’s mission, Group priorities, and broader purpose-led objectives.
  • Activate and Manage Strategic Partnerships
    Build and lead collaborations with NGOs, agencies, educational institutions, and sector organisations to amplify programme reach, strengthen shared objectives, and maximise public impact.
  • Ensure Cross-Market Alignment & Governance
    Influence and coordinate European local Foundations and Group functions, establishing governance frameworks that drive consistency, efficiency, performance tracking, and execution excellence across all markets.
  • Measure Impact & Performance
    Define campaign KPIs, monitor performance, generate actionable insights, and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership to inform future communication strategies.
  • Own Budget & Agency Management
    Manage and optimise communication budgets across European initiatives, ensuring effective resource allocation, cost efficiency, and strong agency performance.
  • Lead Communications for Vodafone Foundation Germany
    Provide strategic communications leadership, including narrative development, stakeholder engagement, media positioning, content strategy, social media planning, and visibility enhancement for national programmes and research initiatives.

Who you are

  • Degree level or equivalent qualification;
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering multi-country or multi-stakeholder campaigns, ideally within philanthropic, social impact or corporate environments;
  • Expertise in strategic communications, campaign design, narrative development and impact evaluation across digital and offline channels;
  • Strong ability to influence and manage stakeholders across complex international and cross-functional environments, including international teams, NGOs, agencies, and internal Group functions;
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to drive cross-market alignment and deliver multiple workstreams simultaneously;
  • A proactive, creative, and highly organised communicator with strong analytical skills and an understanding of the European social impact landscape;
  • English (Fluency).
