To lead the technical and operational aspects of the Hard Maintenance team, ensuring the performance, reliability, and continuity of critical infrastructure systems such as Power, HVAC, Fire Suppression, and other hard facilities equipment across Data Centres, Offices, and Retail Stores. This person will plan, coordinate, and supervise both preventive and corrective maintenance operations, while ensuring cost efficiency, compliance with safety, quality, and energy efficiency standards.

What you’ll do

Operational Management:

  • Coordinate and supervise the execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities across all critical systems.
  • Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of incidents or system failures.

Critical Equipment Oversight - Ensure the proper functioning of:

  • Power Systems (UPS, generators, switchboards, continuity groups, power DC, etc).
  • HVAC Systems (air conditioning and ventilation).
  • Fire Suppression Systems (gas-based, water mist, etc.).
  • Electronic Safety and Security Systems (example Intrusion and fire detection systems, CCTV, etc).
  • Other critical hard infrastructure.
  • Manage contracts with third-party maintenance providers and ensure technical service compliance.

Planning & Continuous Improvement:

  • Design and implement process improvements that optimize maintenance costs and enhance energy efficiency.
  • Support infrastructure upgrade projects, retrofits, or expansions (long-term maintenance plan and CAPEX).

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of technical maintenance professionals.
  • Ensure training and upskilling programs are in place for safety, compliance, and technical excellence.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable legal, international standards, environmental, and occupational safety regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits related to critical infrastructure and Vodafone Certifications in place.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance Engineering (or related fields).
  • Proven experience (minimum 3–5 years) managing and/or maintaining, installing and commissioning critical infrastructure (data centers).
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of emergency power systems, industrial HVAC, and fire suppression.
  • Solid understanding of electrical and HVAC systems, including special installations (General buildings and Data Centres).
  • Familiarity with relevant quality, safety, and energy standards.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and handle on-call responsibilities.
