About this Role

We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to support the Vodafone Internet of Things (IoT) line of business through the delivery, optimisation, and reporting of social media activities. The individual will work closely with global marketing stakeholders to manage social content, analyse performance, monitor sentiment, and execute influencer and community engagement. The role requires an organised, creative, and analytical professional comfortable working with global teams in a fast‑paced shared‑services environment.

What you will do

  • Create digital personas based on region‑specific buyer data and apply insights to campaign development.
  • Conduct community management and social profiling activities across selected platforms.
  • Identify and engage influencers, monitor their activity, and support collaborative content opportunities.
  • Track and report sentiment on key topics using social listening tools.
  • Monitor, analyse, and benchmark competitor performance.
  • Produce short-form content (copy, images, videos) and schedule posts using social media management tools.
  • Modify existing assets to meet new campaign needs while maintaining brand alignment.
  • Support social media crisis monitoring and escalate issues as required.
  • Track and report on monthly, quarterly, channel‑level, post‑level, and campaign‑level performance.
  • Present insights for quarterly business reviews and conduct A/B testing upon request.
  • Produce social selling training materials and content packs for Sales teams.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Lead to break down campaign plans into execution tasks.
  • Upload assets to SharePoint and other knowledge‑sharing platforms, ensuring version control and accessibility.

Who you are

  • Experience in a global B2B marketing environment or a creative agency.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Social Media Specialist creating and deploying social campaigns.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative, organised, and able to act calmly under pressure in a cross‑functional, global setting.
  • Proficient with MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe Professional, and social analytics/scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Oracle SRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • Strong understanding of telecoms or IT industry trends.
  • Skilled in campaign analysis, persona building, social listening, content adaptation, and stakeholder collaboration.
