What you’ll do

The Data Visualization Expert delivers Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities, which play a key role in strategic planning and allow the organisation to gather, store, access and analyse business data to inform decision-making. The Data Visualization Expert focuses on activities related to execution of BI programs across markets, in response to business needs. They perform detailed data analysis, implement dashboards and ensure decision support systems are in place that best serve the business in their decision making, whilst adhering to standards, policy and legislation.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Execute, advise and manage processes and activities related to development of metrics to measure various characteristics of the business and evaluate potential and actual operational changes;
  • Drive and maintain the delivery of long-term cross-functional Business Intelligence strategy including capacity management, report lifecycle management and priority management;
  • Drive delivery of the BI vision and produces high quality and insightful management information;
  • Build strong relations and works closely with Finance, BI and Technology groups, BI vendors, Systems Developers and contractors to drive cohesive solutions across all BI areas and to achieve effective use of BI resources;
  • Provide analysis and delivers relevant data and information to assist strategic planning and review;
  • Deliver assigned tasks for managing effective workflow activities to ensure standard reports and management dashboards are created and published within established service levels and in compliance with legal requirements;
  • Use best practice knowledge in business priorities which are appropriately matched to BI capabilities, stimulating the best and most creative use of Vodafones available data and information across the BI estate to deliver against demand;
  • Support directing the approval and enforcement of data standards/policies and processes, including data standards, quality goals, maintenance processes and exceptions requests;
  • Understand centralising and servicing reporting needs of the business, including report design, development, publishing, maintenance and special report requests;
  • May provide informal guidance to junior staff.

Who you are

  • Technical Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency to design and create data driven dashboards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools such as Qliksense, QlikView, Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Experience with Data Management and Data Modelling to manipulate data models and work with data (Data Warehouse concepts).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Ability to understand and translate the business needs into technical developments, and implement them.
  • Hands-on experience in delivering data & analytics products for different stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation is a plus.
  • Google Cloud Platform experience is a huge plus.
