Customer Delivery Project Manager (VOIS)

Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer job is to mainly develop and design machine learning pipeline / integrations using different machine learning platforms and utilizing their software engineering / cloud skills. Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills. Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus. Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

• Develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
• Design, develop, and operate the data pipeline platform.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Create /Design and maintain ML pipeline and workflows.
• Refactor and optimize ML algorithms to fit on the final solutions.
• Create /Design and maintain automation workflows.
• Understand the product in detail, empathize with customers, so you can predict potential issues in feature development.
• Develop and deploy integrations/APIs on cloud.
• Deliver dockarized micro services on TTD approach.
• Facilitate the cloud capabilities within the developed tools.
• Create /Design Web applications and tools that help data scientists to do their work effectively.
• Create /Design Web applications and tools that allow customers to consume our ML services.
• Follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Stick to established coding standards and group procedures individually and in teams.
• Add to engineering team’s culture of high code quality.
• Design and build UIs on any server platform in a team environment.
• Manage activities, scope, and timelines on the projects with minimum supervision.
• Work with planners to design, develop, and operate tools that fulfill internal requirements.
• Provide user support.
• Work with other teams to conduct troubleshooting when necessary.
• Mentor interns and junior developers, and interview engineering talent.
Code review and peer programming

• Quality Assurance and Reporting
o Ensures quality assurance standards are applied across the project & project work streams.
o Ensure suitable Project & Project Status Reporting mechanisms are put in place for projects and work streams within the Project.
o Produce regular, ad hoc and exception reports in line with the agreed communications plan.
o Ensure timely and accurate reporting, covering aspects (Budget, Timelines and Quality) of scope, outcomes and performance against agreed critical success factors, KPIs and benefits tracking.
o Maintain accurate financial reports. Maintain document library for project, and produce Project level Lessons Learned & Closure reports.

• Risk, Issue and Change Management
o Defines the project Risk & Change strategy. Maintaining regular risk management and mitigation planning, ensuring all stakeholders are fully informed of risks and potential impacts.
o Maintain effective change management process

• Financial Management – Benefits, Commercial , Partner & 3rd Party Management
o Ensure that strategic outcomes expected by the project are aligned to benefits realisation plan, and that benefits tracking process is in place and managed effectively.
o In the event of project scope changes materialising ensure that financial and investment plans are reviewed and adjusted accordingly
o Maintain the business case for funding the project and confirm the continuing business viability of the project at regular intervals
o Be accountable for managing, forecasting and reporting on all project related budget and expenditure.

Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience:

• Typically 3 years relevant experience, including management of major projects with expertise in ICT fields
• Flexible with the ability to maintain effectiveness in a changing environment
• Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
o Able to adapt style and apply influencing skills to a range of complex relationships, the Global Project Manager will be required to create & manage high performing cross functional teams to deliver against agreed plans to the customer.
o Maintain relationships at senior levels
o Able to respond positively and convincingly to constructive challenge from the team and overseas the management of any issues with poor performance

• Professional and Customer Centric
o Able to deliver confident and engaging presentations at the most senior level, drawing on a range of communications techniques to adapt to challenging situations and audiences
o Provides interface with other areas of business to ensure departmental knowledge is shared and obtained

o Applies knowledge of business and markets to create intellectual property
o Has in-depth knowledge of multiple domains and understands the company’s position in the place.

• Blueprint Delivery
o While the blueprint remains the ownership of the customer, the Vodafone Global Project Manager will work with the Customer Global Project Manager to end sure the Vodafone elements of the project plan are delivered.

Must have Technical / Professional Qualifications:

o Prince 2 Practitioner or PMP.
o Proven experience of concurrently managing multiple projects or projects of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results.
o Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels internally and externally, including excellent customer facing skills (ability to communicate, effectively, with the customer account teams, in addition to end users and technical persons)
o Experience in project and project budget management
o Understanding of financial accounting including capitalisation and profit and loss
o Strong cross-functional working capabilities
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
o Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive an effective project team
o Understanding and experience of working in a telecommunications environment
