Job Description

We are searching for a dedicated individual with a strong analytical mind who has a solid background in the field of data science / analysis / architecture with practical experience in big data analytics. The role involves driving quality and alignment across multiple data platforms whilst ensuring we are utilising all of our data to maximise business impact to aid data driven decision making & insights.

This role sits within the Consumer Commercial Finance Transformation & Performance Management Team. You will drive ‘digitalisation’ of commercial finance data processes within Virgin Media O2, whilst the organisation rolls out the new data driven forecasting, planning and performance management capability supported by the recent launch of an Anaplan solution and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will also be responsible for ensuring development of robust governance and quality of data flows within various finance systems that ultimately aid our reporting and insights to support commercial decisions across the Consumer Converged pillars (Fixed, Mobile, FMC).This exciting high-profile position presents a fantastic opportunity to form relationships at various levels and work with numerous stakeholders across Commercial Finance, Data and Consumer Commercial Teams.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • BI and data science leadership in a commercial finance setting
  • Strong analytical attitude: proven analytical approach to understand the impact of the way data and reporting is interpreted and utilised
  • Strategic problem solver who also has the ability to focus on the detail
  • Able to develop rapport and credibility with key stakeholders and comfortable leading independently across various functions
  • Ambitious and resilient attitude working within a fast-paced agile environment
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across various levels of stakeholders

  • Commercial competence from a Senior Data role
  • An accountancy qualification or relevant experience within the finance function
