Job Description

We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Data and Finance Professional to spearhead a groundbreaking data transformation initiative. You will lead on behalf of the Consumer Finance team as Virgin Media O2 rolls out new data-driven reporting and planning capabilities, underpinned by Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Tableau and Anaplan. Your role will be pivotal in not only overseeing the technical journey but also in leading Finance Data strategy once the transformation project is complete. This means instilling a data-centric culture across our expansive network of stakeholders, ensuring that our data capabilities translate into valuable insight and ongoing business impact.

  • Navigating and influencing the technical roadmap of a large-scale data transformation project.
  • Commanding the respect and cooperation of technical teams to secure the delivery of robust and actionable raw data.
  • Designing and enforcing data governance protocols to ensure data quality and a unified source of truth.
  • Leading data strategy for the Consumer Finance team.
  • Inspiring a data-led approach, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm across a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Applying commercial acumen to shape metrics and reporting around business objectives.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Proven experience in leading complex data transformation initiatives in a commercial finance setting.
  • Stellar communication skills, with a proven ability to inspire a data-focused mindset among diverse teams.
  • A deep-seated understanding of how to instil a data-led culture within a corporate environment.
  • Adept at influencing technical teams to optimize data quality and availability.
  • Commercially savvy, with a demonstrated ability to interpret data insights for substantial financial influence.
  • Ambitious and resilient attitude working within a fast-paced agile environment
  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Tableau.

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

  • An accountancy qualification or relevant experience within the finance function.
  • Experience from a subscription, Digital, Telco or Tech industry.
  • Anaplan expertise.
