Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Lead Data Strategist. This is a senior leadership role in our Data Democratisation Strategy & Innovation team. At its core, the role is responsible for understanding business behaviour and vision and developing a data strategy for it. As lead Data Strategist, you will connect the dots and bring together knowledge and experience from Data and Technology, Communications and Business Domain Expertise to act as an accelerator to business value. You’ll do this by cutting through to find the correct data for decisions we need to make and by paving the way for our data teams by creating and implementing your strategies. Who we are

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Extensive leadership experience in Business Units and Domains, including Commercial, Operations, Marketing, Sales etc.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data democratisation strategies in a complex business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of data management, business intelligence, and analytics.
  • Data Engineering Awareness: Knowing the core concepts of how data can be structured and the technologies used to fit with various business strategies
  • Data Visualisation skills that can provide concepts found in vast amounts of data very quickly
  • Governance and Data Protocols knowledge: You don’t need to be an expert, but you must be aware of the core principles and rules for our industry.

We'd also love you to bring;

  • Demonstrated success in influencing and driving strategic change across diverse teams at a senior leadership level
  • Experience in a leadership role within a Center for Enablement or similar data-focused team.
  • Relevant certifications in data management and analytics.
  • Foresight: Ability to plan for the future using different strategic methods to scan and source evolving pathways.
