Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader to join our Finance analytics team. Join our team and embark on a unique opportunity to shape the commercial finance team of the future focusing on Big Data analytics to solve complex problems, taking business partnering to the next level and adding direct, significant incremental Revenue/EBITDA value. Ensure the 500 plus wide Finance and Strategy (F&S) teammates are delivered tools and processes that enable world – class Finance analytics capabilities. End to End owner of a significant portfolio of Finance Analytics / Value creation initiatives driving long- term incremental value through world class collaboration with our Finance, Commercial, and Data colleagues!

Additional significant influence over the business as Finance Leader of Analytics –Single contact for the Exec Committee, responsible for delivering multiple projects spanning our Commercial, Operation and Technology functions. Virgin Media O2 is the ‘coolest gig in Europe’ and this role will be critical to ensure that Virgin Media O2 to develop a Finance team with advanced data analytics capabilities.

To be a change catalyst; partner with the Finance, Commercial, Data and operations Senior Leadership teams to develop and deploy Virgin Media's O2's Finance Analytics vision & strategy. Translate strategy into achievable roadmap for the Commercial Finance teams- ensuring resource availability and balance for optimal prioritisation. Influencing resource owners and parallel projects to drive aligned priority and lead end-end execution of projects. To lead and develop resources within the team, embedding collaborative culture & a winning mindset.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Qualified accountant with good understanding of key Finance Processes including Budgeting/ planning cycle & strong experience in field of Analytics and Transformation using Big Data and Analytics tools.
  • Strong experience in business intelligence, analytics, data management with a consistent record of success in leading data-driven value creation/operating efficiency initiatives.
  • Strong technical expertise in BI and analytics tools and technologies, such as Tableau, SQL and data warehousing solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and deliver results.
  • Strong communication skills including, but not limited to the production and delivery of high-quality presentations
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks to support business objectives.
