Job Description

This role is part of the Tesco Mobile team and will be based out of Tesco Mobile Slough.

Whilst a member of the Centre of Excellence for Commercial Finance, day to day this role works supporting the Finance squads. The squad covers activities such as acquisition, growth & retention, future propositions, buying, stock and insurance amongst other key areas. The key purpose of the role is to provide financial and commercial leadership to the team and wider business.

This includes driving financial accountability and providing visibility of P&L trajectory, whilst supporting in optimising commercial performance that drives out-performance across the market. The successful candidate will need to take a leadership role across the business, ensuring our agile transformation delivers highly successful outcomes whilst maintaining and evolving appropriate governance!

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Qualified accountant
  • Track record of working with non Finance stakeholders to achieve brilliant outcomes
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the business
  • Desire to act autonomously in setting direction and achieving goals
  • Passionate about driving business performance to the next level
  • Knowledge & experience of financial modelling, evaluation of pricing initiatives, and value generation
