Collections Business Partner

Job Description

As Collections Business Partner, you will be responsible for delivering analysis and insight into the performance of mobile collections activity and to develop, design and implement strategies to support the business in optimising the collections function.

You will work with other departments such as the collections operations, credit risk and finance teams to identify operational and performance improvement opportunities and to improve customer experience, increase cash collection, reduce bad debt exposure and reduce churn.

You should also be a driven individual who is constantly looking to challenge the status quo and to drive and empower a team to achieve consistently high standards. You will also support, develop and promote knowledge sharing, skills and ideas throughout the business and encourage initiatives that drive incremental improvements.

Further duties include the analysis of historical data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimisation, improve customer segmentation and communication strategies in line with customer behaviour highlighting gaps, opportunities, successes and improvements.

The must haves In order to be considered, you ae required to have the following experience;

  • Strong proficiency in analytics tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL/GCP)
  • Able to work with and influence stakeholders at all levels demonstrating the power of data driven decision making
  • Experience of leading a small team in an analytical and strategy role
  • Ability to generate ideas to challenge existing business practices
  • Evidence of working to deliver projects from start to finish, and presenting to and influencing senior managers

  • To have key stakeholder management skills and ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Able to consider the wider commercial impacts of any strategic decisions and be customer centric
  • Knowledge of a digital customer journeys and communication channels
  • Working knowledge or understanding of debt management and collections strategies
