Job Description

The BU Offshore in BA Wind is responsible for developing, constructing and operating Offshore wind farms. BU Offshore currently consists of 12 operating windfarms with a total capacity of 4+GW spread across Europe. The operating fleet is supported by strong centralized teams placed across Europe.

We are now looking for a Business Controller to work within the overall BU Offshore Controlling team. The role will primarily be working with Finance Business Partners of the key departments and BU MT and will be focused on running the planning and control cycle for the entire BU: managing and improving how we do reporting and forecasting, how we do performance management and providing management information to the BU leadership and beyond. There will be a broad scope of tasks and we expect you will have plenty of opportunity to develop quickly in this role.

Your tasks and responsibilities

The following main tasks are in the responsibility of the Business Controller in the BU Offshore of BA Wind:

  • Running FP&A cycle for the BU - timelines, deliverables, quality assurance - business plan, forecasting, actuals
  • Running performance management cycle for the BU - chairing the performance meeting, pushing for actions and following-up on performance
  • Responsible for delivering the reporting to BA and upwards as required (various performance reviews and ad-hoc requests)
  • Acting as the main point of contact in the BU for other controlling teams
  • Acting as a SPOC for various digital topics and improvements
  • Ad-hoc tasks on an individual basis as well as with the other team members.

As part of the Offshore controlling team you will have your direct team colleagues in Amsterdam (NL), Hamburg (GE), Berlin (GE), Kolding (DK) and London (UK).

Qualifications

Who are you?

Our ideal candidate is in the second stage of the career. You are pro-active and structured, able to navigate complex stakeholder structures, eager to drive change and impact and are able to work in an international environment with colleagues and a manager in different locations.

Education/Qualification

  • Bachelor degree (or similar experience based level) in a relevant field (i.e. controlling, economics, accounting or finance)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite

Experience

  • You have experience of between 3-5 years in a finance role
  • SAP and PBI knowledge is beneficial
  • Previous experience in consolidation roles/ management information roles is a plus

Skills, knowledge, strengths

  • Strong level of financial literacy
  • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to present information at the right level depending on the audience
  • Strong team player, willingness to help others out and deliver against deadlines together
  • Ability to work independently with a hands-on and pragmatic mind set
  • Strong ability to zoom in and out of details
  • Open and active.

Location

The role is open to applications for our Vattenfall office locations in London and Berlin with a preference of London. Limited Travel will be required.
