Unmind believe high performance will hinge on the powerful harmony between our relentless drive for results and creating an environment that elevates our people's wellbeing. This wouldn’t be possible without a dedication to our core values:

The Role – Senior Organisational Psychologist (part-time)

This part-time position is tailored for individuals seeking a flexible work arrangement, with the role requiring commitment for 2.5 days per week.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organisational or occupational health psychologist to join a forward-thinking team who are working to change the face of mental health in the workplace: Unmind takes a whole-person, whole-organisation approach, and this role is a key part of ensuring an evidence-based focus on what works to improve wellbeing and productivity at work.

With a passion for helping individuals and organisations flourish, you’ll sit within the Science team, reporting into our Head of Psychology, and you’ll work closely with our Product, Content and Commercial teams.

With in-depth theoretical knowledge and a wealth of practical experience of working with organisational systems, you’ll play a key role in developing our workplace offering, acting as a subject matter expert and driving key decisions. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that Unmind are market leaders in workplace wellbeing, with the most engaging, evidence-based, impactful offering.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • ANALYSE: Work alongside key stakeholders to develop Unmind’s innovative measurement tools, ensuring we capture the key metrics of workplace wellbeing, ensuring our clients can take a data-driven approach in planning their wellbeing strategies. Interpret findings from these measurements, contribute to presenting these back to client together with recommendations for action. Explore opportunities to enhance and automate this process, for example using AI.
  • PLAN: Help to shape the roadmap of content, events and innovations such as AI using your in-depth knowledge of the evidence base, and of contemporary topics of interest, to ensure we’re addressing the most important determinants of workplace mental health.
  • COLLABORATE: Team up with our Product, Content and Commercial teams to ensure that our delivery remains a truly world-class experience. This will include sharing your occupational/organisational psychology knowledge with other teams in order to upskill them. You’ll also harness the expertise within your wider professional network, bringing credible experts on board to act as consultants.
  • DEVELOP: Work with Psychologists, and other stakeholders, to create innovative, evidence-based platform content, aimed at promoting flourishing workplaces, ensuring it’s inclusive and inspiring. This will include content tailored to employees across all levels of an organisation, with a particular focus on people managers, execs and mental health champions.
  • PRESENT: Host thought-leading, workshops to inspire and empower audiences to take a proactive approach to building mentally healthy workplaces where employees can thrive.

Skills and Experience

We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. However, some experience in the following is important for the role.

We're looking for people who are or have the following:

  • MSc or PhD in occupational or organisational psychology, with at least 4 years experience in an industry setting.
  • Deep knowledge of workplace wellbeing and contemporary models of positive organisational behaviour. Expertise in evidence-based approaches to promoting flourishing in the workplace.
  • Experience in collaborating with stakeholders as a subject matter expert on workplace wellbeing, flexibly, at speed, and with demonstrable outputs and outcomes.
  • Analysed and reported data in an industry setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing compelling content, and in presenting (either virtually or in-person) as a subject matter expert.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to express thoughts to a range of stakeholders.
  • Passionate about mental health, tech-for-good, and generally improving people’s lives.
  • Comfortable working in an environment of rapid growth, constant change, and lots of unknowns, and with the skills and willingness to continue developing in the digital workplace mental health space.
