Supply Chain is a function within our airline organisation responsible for the timely and most economical availability of aircraft spares to support the TUI operation and maintenance activities. The Supply Chain function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

This vacancy is part of the continental Supply Chain team, based in AMS/BRU/HAJ/DUS, overseeing the line stations stock on continental network, pool stock and SLA’s in close relationship with the contracted agencies, TUI maintenance & Supply Chain colleagues. This with particular focus on the contracted pool parts and the outsourced maintenance providers, but also the TUI line stations to optimize the stock inventory and achieve the contracted KPI’s with your expertise. Functions include liaising with the engineering community to develop provisioning models, supporting in contract development with continental suppliers, ensuring maximum value for money, delivering appropriate/timely management reporting across all areas of responsibility.

ABOUT THE JOB

As Senior Material Supplier, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assist in ensuring the aircraft spare parts are in the correct TUI location at the right time using a data and knowledge led approach

  • Stock / Inventory planning and monitoring

  • Using forward thinking to develop process and procedural improvements and efficiencies

  • The operational support and procurement of aircraft spare parts

  • Tracing and tracking of on-going shipments worldwide and expediting the delivery of parts into the shops or to other stations

  • Coordination of case-to-case logistical activities worldwide

  • Monitoring task progress and taking the necessary action to deliver in agreed timescales/budgets, completing all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner

  • Maintain a shift handover log for your designated area at the end of each day and liaise with other departments as necessary (e.g. outside agencies, airport authorities, Maintrol etc)

  • Act up to Duty Material Supplier as requested within agreed levels of authority

  • Facilitation of the performance management of strategic suppliers ensuring service level agreements (SLA’s) are met

  • Forward provisioning of materials to meet business needs, ensure ‘loans-in’ are effectively managed and the exposure to surplus/waste is minimized

  • Liaising with the engineering community to develop provisioning models, supporting, and participating in tendering/contract development, ensuring maximum value for money in any buying decisions is achieved

  • Delivering appropriate/timely management reporting across all areas of responsibility

  • Progressing/expediting outstanding orders for the timely delivery of material

  • Assist in ensuring the aircraft spare parts are in the correct TUI location at the right time using a data and knowledge led approach

  • Stock / Inventory planning and monitoring

  • Using forward thinking to develop process and procedural improvements and efficiencies

ABOUT YOU

  • Aviation background with supply chain experience, including procurement & tendering experience

  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of engineering systems

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Demonstrate self-confidence and the ability to present at all levels across a wide engineering organisation

  • Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
