As IT Portfolio and Product Manager you will be assigned to work on large scale international projects. You will be responsible for in the maintenance, further development and design of IT portfolio management (processes, methods, tools) and thus create transparency regarding IT requirements / IT needs and IT projects.

ABOUT THE JOB

As IT Portfolio and Product Manager you will bring together and guide teams, focusing on the business need to realize and report the project vision and collaboratively lead the project team to delivery. You will monitor and manage progress against delivery plans, driving actions to completion as needed in order to deliver the business value of the project.

You will utilise your excellent communication and collaboration skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. By providing transparency and managing dependencies, you will align expectations and ensure delivery of committed business benefits.

You accompany projects through the entire project life cycle, from initialisation to completion and maintain close contact with the project manager and other key project participants and stakeholders.

As part of the team, you will support the continuous development of our classic and agile project management standards (processes and methods).

Management of IT projects with responsibility for achieving objectives while adhering to budget, time and content.

You love to work in an international, multi-cultural team and play an active role in improving our working relationships, culture and practices. You challenge constructively and have high expectations of yourself and others. You always drive for excellence, ownership and self-organisation at team and personal level. You love to learn and acquire new skills and keep up to date with latest developments in your focus areas.

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree in business informatics or comparable technical and commercial background
  • Knowledge and initial experience in managing projects, in the project management office (PMO) or in supporting programme and portfolio management; ideally in an information technology environment
  • Good knowledge of common project/programme management methods (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM)
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills as well as an independent and careful way of working
  • Good user knowledge of modern IT workplace technologies (e.g. MS Office 365 and Teams)
  • Completed studies in the field of business administration, business informatics or economics
  • Several years of experience in (IT) operational IT project portfolio management and/or controlling or financial management
  • Knowledge of industry standards, frameworks and methodologies (common project management methods) in the area of IT governance (e.g. COBIT)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work with different groups consisting of business and IT stakeholders
  • Expertise in both analytical/conceptual and practical areas
  • Ability to reduce complexity, structured and proactive way of working and initiative
  • Business fluent in English and German language
