TUI Group is the world’s number one integrated tourism business. Airline IT is a global team within TUI technology responsible for the group-wide IT landscape of TUI Airline. We are a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps and Agile Delivery providing services across the UK, Sweden, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

We are looking for a talented and dedicated iOS Developer to join the Flight Ops IT team which looks after TUI’s Electronic Flight Bag solution to provide our Pilots in their daily flight planning and preparation.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Work within a cross-functional team to define, design, build and deploy iOS/iPadOS software in the aviation domain.
  • Proactively ensure the good performance, responsiveness, and user experience of the deployed software.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new processes (software related or not) to maximize development efficiency.

ABOUT YOU

  • Professional experience in native iOS/iPadOS development.
  • Proficiency with Swift, UIKit, Combine and Core Data.
  • Experience with SwiftUI.
  • Experience in app refactoring (e.g. Objective-C to Swift).
  • Experience with REST APIs and WebSockets.
  • Knowledge of common software design patterns (including MVVM-C).
  • Proficiency with Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and platforms.
  • Experience with Unit/UI Testing.
  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Keen to work on a small team with high responsibility over what is deployed.
  • An autonomous and ‘big-picture thinking’ mindset.
  • Flair for code reusability, testability, and readability.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

What will be a plus:

  • Experience in the aviation domain.
  • Experience with enterprise apps development.
