As Technical Representative, you will be representing TUI Airlines at any third party facility whereoutsourced maintenance activities are performed, ensuring work is conducted to the highest standards and in line with the contractual arrangements. Youwill operate within a virtual team, with a requirement for regular travel.

In this role, you will report to the Outsourced Maintenance Manager.

ABOUT THE JOB

As Technical Representative, you will be responsible to :

  • Liaise with the selected MRO in all aspects of contracted outsourced maintenance on behalf of any aircraft, and hence any airline, within the TUI Group Airlines
  • Act as the single point of contact to consider, review and authorize additional work, from both a technical and commercial perspective
  • Ensure all outsourced maintenance activities are delivered to the requisite standards of quality, and that all paperwork is compliant
  • Ensure all work is conducted in line with contractual terms and condition, and supplier SLAs
  • Provide reports to relevant parties within Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) of any issues or concerns arising from your supervision of outsourced maintenance, escalating matters as required
  • Provide contract support for the local provision of material and services not covered by the contract and outside the capability of the supplier
  • Co-ordinate, monitor and drive all activity between MRO and TUI Group to ensure all queries are resolved and outsourced maintenance is delivered on time, in budget and within contractually agreed terms
  • Ensure compliance to NAA regulations
  • Act as a key point of contact and expertise for all internal stakeholders regarding outsourced maintenance matters
  • Operate in a collaborative, credible and professional fashion at all times, true to the Company’s values
  • Undertake projects and any other reasonable tasks as and when required by the business

ABOUT YOU

  • A well-rounded E&M technical background and experience, especially in heavy maintenance
  • Experience of interpreting and understanding commercial contract terms
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements for outsourced maintenance activities
  • A self-motivated individual who takes the initiative and works collaboratively with a track record of successfully engaging with, and delivering to, multiple diverse stakeholders
  • Confident working with, and influencing and negotiating with, suppliers
  • Happy to operate with relative autonomy, and to attend work at third party facilities across the globe
  • Strong organizational skills and sound IT skills; able to deftly utilize standard IT packages
  • Ability to drive others to deliver
  • Financial acumen to understand, analyses and manage cost implications
  • A skilled communicator with the proven ability to quickly build rapport, and to ensure the Company’s requirements are fully understood and delivered to
  • Ability to vary style and approaches in accordance with audience and situation
  • Pro-active and logical thinker with the ability to generate ideas, plans, alternatives, and solutions

This role requires strong business English (written & spoken) and will involve regular travel, including extended stays away from base.
