Job Description

As Data Migration Analyst, you will play a crucial part in supporting the implementation of a new HR System within the UK business, which will include the transition and migration of data from our existing HR system in the UK (ResourceLink) to our new, Global system (SuccessFactors).

Reporting into the Data Migration Lead, you will support in the delivery of the project, as part of a large, global project team. You will take responsibility for the mapping, transformation, and migration of data from the existing system to the new solution, whilst ensuring key relationships are managed, to ensure successful delivery against our project milestones. You will work with colleagues from around the business, so your ability to work within a large, global and virtual team is crucial.

At times, you may also be required to perform some responsibilities within the Global People Analytics team

This role is a fixed term contract unril August 2025.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You will provide support to the HR Data Migration Lead in the data migration of current HR data into the new SucessFactors solution, in accordance with the project plan
  • You will also work in additional workstreams, supporting integration, reporting and testing
  • You will perform data extractions using SQL from the current system into Excel, reviewing the current data to identify mapping requirements, data quality issues, formatting issues and contradictory mappings/data types
  • You’ll be holding discussions with Subject Matter Experts, Functional and other system specialists to identify, define, and document the business requirements for the data migration.
  • You’ll be executing and managing some of the data migration process, alongside the Data Migration Lead, to maximise efficiency and accuracy of migration, whilst collaborating with the Integration and Project leads to ensure that the data design, functionality, and processes are aligned.
  • Develop and execute the extraction and transformation scripts/processes/activities from the existing HR System and transfer it to templates, ready for migration, ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
  • Determine ways to improve efficiency and ensure accuracy of the transfer of data
  • You’ll escalate any risks or issues encountered or anticipated, to the Project Lead as early as possible, to ensure minimal impact to the wider programme; managing solutions for risk mitigation.
  • You will be able to support the Global People Analytics at times, in providing delivery of reporting and analytics service in an effective, proactive, and efficient way to our internal customers and teams.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders (Heads of HR, HRBP, Finance, etc.) to identify key reporting and analysis requirements, ensure data integrity and provide effective People Analytics which will support the delivery of the Business and HR Strategies.
  • You will become a Subject Matter Expert in Employee Central
  • You will champion our responsibilities in the area of Data Protection to ensure other team requirements/expectations are understood to safeguard all employee sensitive date.

ABOUT YOU

  • Knowledge and experience of query writing in SQL programming
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel & Access with advanced knowledge of excel formulae and SQL syntax
  • A strong desire to continuously improve systems, processes, and ways of working
  • High attention to detail, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and energy with a positive attitude
  • Able to challenge and manage conflicting deadlines/priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Experience of working within a project environment with evidence of effective planning skills, and the ability to understand and articulate the size and difficulty of a task and plan appropriately
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools and software
  • Knowledge of data structures, mapping and migration techniques
  • Ability to obtain and analyse a variety of large amounts of data
  • Experience of reporting and analytical work, preferably in a HR environment
  • Experience in SuccessFactors Reporting is required
  • Previous experience of Resourcelink, Oracle SQL and/or other Business Intelligence tools (such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, RRS, Jaspersoft) is desirable
