We are a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Digital Marketing, Digital Product, Digital Experience & UX, UI, SEO and Optimisation & Analytics providing services across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The impact of a global pandemic required a rapid and far-reaching transformation in TUI’s business model. Innovation in mobile was already changing the way we do business and transforming the way our customers interact with TUI. Following COVID-19, our customers now look to TUI’s app to provide critical self-service capabilities throughout their customer journey, as well as enhancing and simplifying their end-to-end customer experience through innovative mobile products and services.

A key factor in successful digital transformation will be the successful development and rapid scaling of our mobile app platform. To achieve this, we are now seeking a strong and experienced analytics expert to lead the Product App Analytics team which will provide analytical support to product and market teams, implement and enhance app tracking, deliver insights and recommendations to help the business make data-driven decisions and contribute to the rapid development of the TUI app. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced analytics professional to lead the Product App Analytics function of TUI.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Lead transformational, strategic projects for Product App Analytics
  • You will have the opportunity to drive your own analytics projects from start to finish, and from tracking implementation through to end-reporting. You will measure app customer lifetime value, cross-platform engagement and the impact of switching users from web to the app, product feature performance, conversion rate and app CPA.
  • Embed analytics into cross-functional teams
  • Product App Analytics is a self-standing function where each team member is a specialist in their own area of expertise. You will start embedding analytics into cross-functional teams, move from specialist model into new end-to-end model, transform analytics and fully integrate the team within fast-paced agile delivery processes.
  • Develop an AB testing program to measure and enhance product development
  • In pursuit of a strong analytics and optimisation programme, you will work with the Head of Products in relation to the Testing programme. You will conduct exploratory investigative analytics through Product Analysts inputting into strategy to expand testing boundaries from just product/pod to a wider scope. You will play a key role ensuring the overall testing program is robust and continues to ramp up through data let decisioning and insights. This is a key pillar of our Digital objectives.
  • Develop a proactive approach for insight generation
  • In order to be truly insights-led, we need to move from a reactive to a proactive insight approach, where the right insights reach the right people without them even asking for or thinking about them. You will reserve time for proactive insight creation by exploring data, testing hypotheses, diving deeper, considering more data sources, broadening the scope to contextualize and improve analysis presenting back to senior managers.
  • Produce board-level reporting, feature and market insight and analysis for the app
    Dashboards and ad-hoc insight analysis will be required by market boards, the group board, product owners/managers and other stakeholders. You will co-ordinate the work to develop and deliver these and ensure the timely production of standard reports.
  • Forge a data driven culture in the business
  • A critical part of this role is influencing and fostering a more data-driven approach around TUI and making sure Analytics is used for better decision-making. You will embed the Analytics function across Product teams and cut Analytics turnaround times by providing stakeholders with intuitive and interactive self-service reporting.
  • Line-manage the Product & Implementation Analysts and support career development
  • The analytics team for the app is based both in London and in the TUI Tech Portugal hub in Porto. Provide line management support for the team, define scope of work, assign goals, manage learning curve, support career development and lead by example.

ABOUT YOU

  • Digital/App analytics experience, in a product optimisation/ agile scrum environment.
  • Experience in using enterprise level digital analytics solutions, ideally Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Google Analytics, Firebase, Big Query and SQL.
  • Experience with visualisation tools (Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, Looker Studio).
  • Data analysis. Comparing data sets, identifying valuable customer segments, spotting trends, seeking reasons for reduced conversion rates. Presenting the results as insights and recommendations at a business level.
  • Excellent knowledge of AB testing including the set up and measurement of tests to produce accurate, significant results robustly. Understanding of statistical concepts like sample size calculation, significance, Type I and Type II errors.
  • Experience with BigQuery or SQL and comfort writing complex queries.
  • Appreciation and/or implementation experience of digital analytics data collection methods.
  • Proven stakeholder management abilities with ability to educate and drive change.
  • Great communicator and facilitator comfortable working across organisational and market boundaries and managing senior stakeholders. Able to disagree, yet align.
  • An experienced and authentic servant leader with passion for digital commerce & technology.
  • Someone who has a clear passion and enthusiasm for data analysis, is commercially aware and target driven.
  • Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team.
  • Must be a self-starter, proactive, energetic, comfortable in a fast-paced, high transactional, complex working environment.
