Job Description

Join one of the UK's largest employers as a Senior UX Designer and play a key role in shaping intuitive digital experiences for colleagues and suppliers across a complex, global organisation. Working across a diverse range of products, platforms and business functions, you'll transform complex processes into simple, user-centred solutions that improve how thousands of colleagues work every day. This is an opportunity to influence large-scale enterprise products, champion human-centred design, and contribute to experiences used across stores, offices, distribution centres and global teams.

  • Leading end-to-end UX design activities from discovery through to delivery.
  • Translating complex business challenges into intuitive and user-friendly experiences.
  • Creating user journeys, service maps, wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs.
  • Championing human-centred and inclusive design practices across product teams.
  • Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers and stakeholders.
  • Conducting and supporting user research, usability testing and design validation activities.
  • Using customer insights, analytics and data to inform design decisions.
  • Designing accessible experiences aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Facilitating workshops, ideation sessions and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Working within agile squads to continuously improve digital products and services.
  • Leveraging and contributing to established design systems and UI patterns.
  • Supporting and mentoring designers, helping to develop capability across the team.
  • Providing constructive design feedback and promoting design best practices.
  • Building strong relationships across the business to drive better product outcomes.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing UX design expertise across web, responsive and native applications.
  • Experience delivering complex enterprise-scale digital products and services.
  • Deep understanding of user-centred design methodologies and design thinking principles.
  • Proven experience with journey mapping, prototyping, wireframing and user testing.
  • Strong interaction design skills for desktop, mobile and native experiences.
  • Experience designing accessible products and applying WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • The ability to balance user needs, business goals and technical constraints.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with Product, Engineering and Research teams.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools including Figma and Miro.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting the development of other designers.
  • Retail industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
