Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional programmes that support Tesco Mobile Ireland's strategic objectives. Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, you will provide leadership across multiple initiatives, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

As a Senior Programme Manager, you will drive programme governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and operational readiness while ensuring business outcomes are achieved. You will also play a key role in establishing and embedding robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), driving continuous improvement and ensuring operational excellence across the business.�

  • Leading the delivery of complex strategic programmes across multiple business functions.
  • Defining programme objectives, scope, success measures, roadmaps, and delivery milestones.�
  • Establishing effective governance frameworks and ensuring programmes remain aligned with business priorities.�
  • Managing programme budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and change controls.�
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners.�
  • Driving the development, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).�
  • Ensuring new processes and operational changes are fully documented, approved, and successfully embedded into the business.�
  • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, quality, compliance, and customer outcomes.�
  • Leading governance forums, steering committees, and executive reporting activities.�
  • Working collaboratively with Technology, Digital, Customer Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Commercial, and Cyber Security teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Ensuring programmes meet all regulatory, governance, and audit requirements.�
  • Tracking benefits realisation and measuring programme performance against agreed objectives
  • Significant experience managing large-scale programmes within telecommunications, technology, digital transformation, or similarly complex environments.�
  • Proven experience delivering strategic change and business transformation initiatives.�
  • Strong programme governance, risk management, change management, and stakeholder management expertise.�
  • Experience developing and managing SOPs, process frameworks, and operational controls.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.�
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and challenge senior stakeholders.�
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers and delivery partners.�
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.�
  • A recognised Programme Management qualification such as MSP, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, or equivalent.�
  • A passion for continuous improvement and delivering sustainable business outcomes.
