Role Title: Senior Programme Manager
Function: GVBTS
Sub-function: VBTS – Delivery Malaysia
Reports to: Senior Portfolio Manager
Location: Malaysia

Role Purpose:

The Senior Programme Manager role exists within the Delivery of Vodafone Business Technology Solutions.. The Senior Programme Manager is responsible for owning a complex delivery programme and delivering its outcomes, from initial opportunity through to successful handover into business-as-usual operations, with a focus on meeting programme commitments through strong leadership and pragmatism.

The individual will:
- Lead a matrix-team of multi-talented people from across geographical locations, cultures and organisations, including Vodafone, its vendors and its customers
- Operate at a strategic level, to establish and manage; outcomes, budgets, deliverables, milestones and timescales for the programme to ensure all contractual obligations are met & programme benefits are measured.
- Deliver programmes that include multi-tower technical solutions into enterprise customer estates, enabling our customers to achieve their expected outcomes
- Create programme plans and schedules to support and track milestone delivery, using tasks, dependencies and timeframes across multiple projects
- Execute programme governance and chair both operational and strategic programme review boards
- Manage the programme budget through leading regular finance tracking and governing project managers
- Provide high level programme reports to key stakeholders
- Record programme data in a central system
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Close programmes and record lessons to promote resilience and continuous improvement
- Promote the use of digital tools over manual processes and handoffs

What you’ll do

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Programme leadership in line with the Agile ways of working and VBTS operating model
- Presales governance (opportunities/RFPs) within the Bid Team, on all solution elements, as required and agreed for proposal submission.
- E2E programme delivery to ensure all contractual obligations and desired outcomes are met and measured where applicable
- Programme governance and reporting to Senior stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement (process, tools, etc.) and role modelling across the wider VBTS/VBPS organisation.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- An extensive track record of delivering complex customer projects or programmes within a fast-paced ICT or Telecommunications industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially when working with remote team members and stakeholders
- A dynamic approach to leading matrix teams, with a drive towards team empowerment and self-sufficiency, including the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders
- Pragmatic approach to problem solving and issue resolution
- Experience of working in a highly matrixed, Agile organisation

Must Have technical / professional qualifications:
- Delivery orientated programme management certifications such as PMI, PMP, Prince 2, Agile, SAFe
- Local language + excellent verbal and written English language
- Technical degree / masters level qualification
