We’re looking for an experienced Principal Content Marketer to help build brand awareness, drive conversions, educate our target groups, and contribute original ideas to the Content Management System industry. As a key member of our Content Marketing team, you'll plan and create educational content, track and improve SEO performance, and function as a product expert.

We see educational content as the foundation of our content marketing efforts, and position ourselves as the authority on all things CMS. As a Principal Content Marketer, you should offer new insights and bring actual value to our readers. This is why we expect you to not only be a great writer, but also proactively conduct interviews with internal and external experts, gather and analyze data, and run experiments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Content strategy: Help shape our content marketing strategy through your ideas, research, and feedback (marketing blog, landing pages, documentations and guides)
  • SEO performance: End-to-end ownership of certain organic traffic growth goals by working together with other teams. This includes ideation, execution, and tracking of SEO-focused assets.
  • Education and enablement: Educate our target personas and create demand by creating long-form original content. Enable our current users and drive up feature usage by creating product enablement content (guides, articles, video scripts)
  • Editor: As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for editing key content pieces created by other marketers, and enabling other teams with their content needs (website content, ad copy, articles, product demo content)
  • Research: It’s essential to closely follow the latest news and developments in the CMS industry (and the broader ecosystem) to be able to create original high-quality educational content

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Perfect grasp of the English language
  • 5+ years of experience as a Content Marketer in the CMS industry or B2B SaaS
  • Solid SEO experience with trackable results
  • You are a passionate SaaS marketer with technical expertise - you worked with or for technical teams, you know how to address technical Ideal Customer Profiles
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management and CMS - headless or monolithic. You have an understanding of CMS customer needs, market dynamics, and the ability to align your content with that
  • Strong understanding of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO platforms (Ahrefs/Semrush)
  • Experience creating educational content (articles, ebooks, whitepapers, video scripts)
  • Experience in conducting research, surveys, and interviews

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent understanding of B2B SaaS content marketing - ideally the CMS industry
  • Ability to combine analytical thinking with creative writing
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Thorough organizational skills and project management capabilities
  • Passionate about learning and teaching others
