Regional Payment Team Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Finance Operations Specialist within the Procure Travel Pay in Regional Payment Team you will be responsible for the timely and accurate fulfillment of various tasks in the area of processing different types of payments

Day to day tasks include

  • Ensure all payment activities are performed according to GFS standards independently and with high quality. These include and not limited to regular payment runs, exceptional payments, ICO, direct debits / standing orders, customer reimbursement along with any internal bank transfers and bank communication.
  • Drive standardization and simplification of in scope company codes and deliver efficiency and quality improvement of payment related operations.
  • Participate in moderately complex projects and testing activities related to the payment process. Contribute to the targets within these assigned projects and add value by ensuring efficiency.
  • Prepare payment related reports, documentation, and period-end-delivery for both internal and external purposes and work on improvement of the reporting.
  • Strongly engage into Global Payment Process Handbook update with the Team Specialists/ Subject Matter Experts/Process Manager. Drive standardization and simplification of payment related operations and deliver efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Ensure that the operated processes and the internal controls are SOX compliant, both tax and legally compliant for the region in scope.
  • Deliver expertise sharing on the payment process within GFS (trainings, small workshops, i.e. E2E, advance payment management, Payment for newcomers)

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in Spanish and Italian is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook

WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking for candidates who can deliver very accurate and high-quality work and taking ownership and accountability. Strong communication skills, positive approach, and can-do attitude. Proactively engaging yourself to learn, improve processes and find a solution to prevent issues. Good written and spoken English is required. Previous finance experience with the processing different types of outgoing payments. Business or accounting education is an advantage.
